Rhapsody 2023 – A Spectacular Show with Purpose

In the heart of Mumbai, the ARTIVAL FOUNDATION, an esteemed art promotion institution, orchestrates a breathtaking group art show, Rhapsody 2023. This grand event is a harmonious convergence of 25 revered contemporary Artists, hailing from the present art world.

 

This show was inaugurated on 8th August 2023 by Richa Agarwal (Chairperson – Sampta Foundation), Mr. Shailesh Bhelkar(Global Business CEO) in the presence Vipta Kapadia (Eminent Artist), Pruthvi Sony(Eminent Artist), art lovers, all participating artists and Many art dignitaries among others. 

The talented and renowned artists participating in this exhibition include Vasudeo Kamath, Prakash Ghadge, Pradip Sarkar, Ajay De, Ashif Hossain, Shashikant Dhotre, Gopal Pardeshi, Birakishor Patra, Deepak B. Patil, Vishal Phasale, Jaydeb Dolui, Govind Sirsat, Santosh Bhoir, Dr. Shankar Sharma, Pratibha Goel, Maredu Ramu, Dr. Shefali Bhujbal, Maya B, Ramanpreet Kaur Narang, Sudipta Adhikari, Kashyap Ray, Jyotsna Sonavane, Shailesh Gurav. They come together in a splendid display of their masterpieces at the renowned Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, transforming it into an ethereal gallery of artistic brilliance.

‘Rhapsody 2023’ endeavors to present the diverse and captivating works of these artists, each adorned with meaningful expressions and a kaleidoscope of mediums, techniques, and color tones. The grandeur of this exhibition aims to touch the hearts of prospective art collectors, lovers, and patrons on a global scale.

Beyond its visual splendor, this art show is imbued with a noble purpose – to inspire compassion and support for those bravely battling cancer. The show’s magnanimity is further enhanced by the generous support and inspiration received from the esteemed CANCER PATIENTS AID ASSOCIATION (CPAA). A portion of the proceeds from this enchanting affair will be devoted to this renowned organizations dedicated to cancer research, treatment, and patient care.

Actor Vicky Kaushal and music maestro Pritam added glitz and glam to the 39 th India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) Premiere, the second largest gem & jewellery exhibition in the world, organised by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

In the 8th edition of its esteemed charity dinner  & Jewellers for Hope & GJEPC raised an impressive donation to be given to Relief Projects India, a leading NGO focussed on women- child related issues.

Vicky Kaushal personally attended this event on behalf of Relief Projects India and spoke about the organisation and the impact it has created in India. Relief Projects India is a dedicated non- profit Trust committed to making a positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate through education, health, and awareness initiatives. The NGO's primary focus lies in addressing critical issues such as female infanticide, foeticide, boy-child preference, and the challenges faced by women and children in rural villages. Actress model Sarah-Jane Dias interviewed Vicky Kaushal on the stage during the event.

Actor Vicky Kaushal said, “I would like to extend many thanks and gratitude to Jewellers for Hope and The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council for recognising and supporting a cause which is so close to my heart – Relief Projects India (RPI). I am extremely proud of the work that RPI has put in over the years for their education programme – Mountain View School, which is dedicated on providing quality education and a safe environment to all underprivileged kids in the area. Pritam added Mauj, Maja, Masti and Music at the IIJS Celebrations Night at JIO World Convention Centre on 3 rd August. The Legends of India’s gem & jewellery export industry were present with Mr. Shah, Mr. Kirit Bhansali (Vice Chairman, GJEPC); Mr. Nirav Bhansali (Convener, National Exhibitions), Milan Chokshi, Convener, Promotion Marketing, GJEPC, Mr. Paul Rowley, Executive Vice President, Diamond Trading, De Beers Group; Somasundaram PR (MD, India, World Gold Council) and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray (Executive Director) among others.

For the 1 st ever, IIJS Premiere is simultaneously organised at two venues – the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) from 3rd to 7th August, and the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) from 4th to 8th August. In a new record, around 50,000 visitors are attending including 2,000 visitors from over 65 countries. There are 3,250 stalls with 1,850 exhibitors, covering an expensive area of 70,000+ sq. mtrs.

The grand opening of the show was marked with the gracious presence of Guests of honour Mr. Mike Hankey, Consul General, Consulate General of USA; Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, IAS, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA; Mr. Paul Rowley, Executive Vice President, Diamond Trading, De Beers Group; Mr. C K Venkataraman, Managing Director at Titan Company; Mr. G.R. Ananthapadmanabhan, Managing Director, GRT Jewellers India and the doyens and Mr. G.R. Radhakrishnan, Managing Director, GRT Jewellers India Pvt. She is very fond of gardening and has planted more than fifty plants at her home. Presently she lives in Goa.

Nikitaa is a huge fan of Mithun Chakraborty. As a child, Mithun Da gave him his autograph and asked him to come to Mumbai. When she reached Mumbai to meet him, Mithun da met her very lovingly. At that time Mithun Chakraborty was shooting for his film. At the same time, director Kawal Sharma sent his assistant to Nikitaa and sent her a proposal to work as the younger sister of Sanjay Dutt in his film and with this she started her career in Mumbai’s film industry. Nikita has also done a cameo role in ‘Action Jackson’.

She has worked as child artist in Bengali film with famous actor Prasonjeet. Apart from this, he worked with Shakti Kapoor in the play ‘Tum Rootha Na Karo’ on the stage, whose shows were huge hits in India and abroad.

Nikitaa has acted in several TV shows including the role of Chand in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai and gained popularity by playing a pivotal role in Sahara TV’s Zindagi Teri Meri Kahani. Apart from this, she appeared in the advertisement of ‘Ask Me’ with Ranbir Kapoor and she was also in the advertisement of IPL with Farah Khan.

She is inspired by the performances of actresses like Smita Patil, Rekha, Shabana Azmi, Sridevi and Alia Bhatt and wants to do strong roles in future. Apart from acting, Nikitaa enjoys sketching, drawing, singing, gardening, dance and yoga. She says that in the present times the digital platform has simplified the way to show and advance the skills of the people, but along with this, the youth have also become addicted to the phone, which affects them mentally and physically, especially their heart and eyes.
