In her long careergraph, Hiya Singh has done several movies in Bollywood and regional films, but she prefers to do grey shade characters as she enjoys doing it the most.

Hiya entered Bollywood Industry way back in 1998. Her debut project was Hamara Faisla in which her co-star was Ravi Kishen, directed by Jeetendra Javed and then onwards she never looked back.

In her lucrative career, Hiya has worked with most of the popular names of Hindi Cine Industry to name a few like Sunil Shetty, Aishwariya Rai, Veena Malik, Arya Babbar, Manoj Joshi, Navni Parihar and many others in films Daayan, Zindagi 50 50, Radhe Shyam Seeta Ram, Mahal, Love U Family, Haq -E-Salaami, produced by Mona Sharma and directed by Sandeep Solanki.

Including big screen Hiya was very much busy in television serials too such as Dil -E- Nadaan in which she executed dual roles. The serial was telecast on DD National, produced by Joy Mukherjee Productions.

The actress recently completed some South projects Tamil, Telugu and Bollywood ones  in which her look is mind-blowing.

One is Bala, (Marathi) opposite Kamlesh Sawant (Drishyam fame) directed by Sachinder  Sharma. The other is directed by Rajiv S Ruia (My Friend Ganesha fame)  titled Life of Kuku in which Hiya plays a vamp. The film stars Rajpal Yadav, jointly produced by Miky Singh & Imad Ahmed Habib and directed by Rajiv S Ruia and the third one is an International film titled Flame, again directed by Rajiv S Ruia.

The subject of Flame is very interesting and her role is too powerful as she plays institutionalized girl who is tortured and finally killed in the movie. Hrishita Bhatt is the leading lady in the film.

Hiya’s hobbies are horse riding, gyming and swimming. Presently, Hiya is concentrating on Bollywood as well as Tollywood Industry which indicates a great future for the actress.

On the occasion of Annual Day function of Kandivali’s Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce & Science, students and the management organised a grand two day event on 18th and 19th December with some amazing and entertaining cultural shows like dance, singing, fashion show etc along with a very special skit on the social issue of LGBT and it grabbed them many applauds.

The glittering show had ‘Dance Plus 3’ fame and India’s #zindarobot aka Amardeep Singh Natt from Dharmesh Sir’s group whose presence electrified the atmosphere at Kora Kendra Ground. He rocked the dance floor by performing on some of his fantastic moves. While interacting with media and being ex-student of the college he said, “I’m glad to come home before resuming my shoot of my upcoming television dance show and taking blessings from my teachers with seeing such a great response, love from you all.

Also the core faculty and the founders of the college shared their thoughts and excitement about the annual day fest and how difficult was it for them to make it grand in every possible way. The founders also shared their vision on how they initiated their flourishing institution even before 2003 with the same vision of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao – which PM Narendra Modi also follows. Principal of the college Swiddle D’Cunha shares, “We planned for months to make it these huge and we’re proud that we did it with our full efforts and especially with the support of students and management.”

There were also few other young and social media stars as well as Tiktok sensations like Unnati Malharkar and Awez Darbar. Unnati have more than 1.5 million followers on Tiktok and Awez Darbar with 4.5 million. Both the artist’s shared their journey while speaking to the media and were happy to get associated with the college’s yearly annual day festival.

A 10 billion USD Project Indywood, was launched to elevate Indian cinema to an international level. Keeping the vision in mind Indywood has contended 4 Indian Movies for this year’s mainstream Oscar awards, which includes Movies like, Dear Molly (English film Directed by Gajendra Ahire), Sound Story (Directed by Prasad Prabhakar), KayamkulamKochunni (Directed by RosshanAndrrews) and Sarpatatwam (the serpant wisdom) by Methil Devika which is contended for documentary short category.

Sohan Roy, Founder Director of Project Indywood belives that Indian Film Industry should come forward to conceive and implement big budget international projects instead of following clichéd subjects and treatment pattern.

Indywood’s, AickarakkonatheBhishaguaranmaar (Physicians of Aickarakkonam) which was a charity movie directed by Biju Majeed and produced by Abhini Sohan Roy under the banner of Aries Telecasting Pvt Ltd has also been selected to contend for nomination at 2019 Oscars. Besides the Best Picture category the movie is also eligible to contend for Other General categories including Acting categories (lead and supporting roles), Direction, Production Design, Film Editing, Sound Design, Sound Mixing, Cinematography, Costume Design and Writing (Original and Adapted).

Initiated by Indywood Consortium, the project has been designed by Mr Sohan Roy, written by Shibu Raj. K. The cinematography of the movie, which features a total of 175 newcomers in prominent roles, was handled by P.C Lal. While B R Bijuram composed the music, the editing was done by Johnson Iringole.

The movie emphasises on the 5,000 year old system of natural healing called ‘Ayurveda’ which is enjoying a major resurgence in both its native land and all over the world. Besides the theme, the movie utilized 100% of its revenue for flood relief and rehabilitation activities in Kerala, which witnessed one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the state recently, and for the support those in the film industry, who were affected by the floods.

Featured with 175 new faces, this complete family entertainer has become the year’s first Indian feature movie to view for Oscar 2019 and to be nominated.
