A naturally gifted artist, Mukhtar Kazi born in 1977 who holds a diploma in Art  ,is extremely versatile in his subjects and pours his life experiences into it. His works showcase his flair for painting in different media. 

The artist’s passion lies in doing abstracts though he enjoys painting realistic works too.  He explains his creative process in the following words: 

An enigmatic journey towards light – that’s what life means to me. I have tried to depict this through my artworks. How one navigates life’s dualities such as birth and death, union and division, light and dark, has always fascinated me. In my recent series of paintings, I attempt to bridge the gap between dream vs reality or between darkness vs light. I prefer to use thin and transparent layers of acrylic colour to capture the essence of this journey. Often, I use several layers of a single colour to feel the sensibility of light and space. This is my unique process motivated by self-awareness and interaction with light. 

Kazi has participated in several solo and group shows in India and abroad and participated in art camps. The painter has also given several live demonstrations of charcoal and acrylic paintings. 

Besides painting, the artist works has been featured in books on MF Husain, Aamir Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan. He displayed some of his paintings at the Frames75 Exhibition on Amitabh Bachchan curated by Pradeep Chandra and SMM Ausaja . Mukhtar created a portrait of Javed Akhtar with NAILS & THREAD to be a part of his 75^th birth anniversary exhibition which was highly appreciated by one and all.

Kazi’s work was chosen by eminent art critic Keshav Malik as the best painting at an exhibition in Delhi.

His paintings are in the collections of many private collectors and government institutes in India and abroad.

This show will be inaugurated on 16^th November 2021 at 4pm by eminent artist Pramodbabu Ramteke at Jehangir Art Gallery.

Various artworks made by a contemporary artist. Dr. Ishita in oil colours on canvas reveal her intense urge to adorn them with apt icons of beauty of nature in different seasons. Her forte lies in an attempt to depict in each work with the wonders of Nature and their impact on the human mind via relevant visual metaphors. She has been impressed by the countless moods of Nature, from vast skies, to deep valleys, blossoming meadows, snow peaks, frothing seas, and all the dynamics of their constantly shifting light and shade. She was deeply obsessed with an inner urge to create artwork using the eternal wonders of nature. She came in contact with Artist Sayaram Waghmare, senior contemporary artist of international repute who, as her guru, played a pivotal role in her journey in art. Dr. Ishita is a Life Member of Art Society of India, Bombay Art Society, and Artist Center, Mumbai, and has participated in various solo and group exhibitions across reputable galleries throughout the country, including Kala Ghoda Art Gallery, Mumbai, Kamalanayan Bajaj Hall & Art Gallery, Mumbai, Parijat Art Gallery, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur, Lokmanya Tilak Art exhibition, Pune, Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata and has now reached the Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.

Her latest series, Boundless, to be presented at Jehangir Art Gallery, exemplify subtle nuances of various happenings in seasons throughout a year. A burst of colours and the mad beauty of Nature find voice in her works like A Skyful of Madness, A Paradise in Bloom, Morning Revelation, etc. Her paintings give solace and hope to the suffering souls in these turbulent times.

Paintings like A Prayer of Hope and Solace of Crashing Waves usher this quiet sense of peace and positivity in the viewer.

बेहद सुलझी मॉडल – अभिनेत्री लोपामुद्रा साहा

बेहद निर्भीक, आत्मनिर्भर और साहसी लड़की लोपामुद्रा साहा जिसने कोलकाता से शुरुआत कर मुंबई को अपनी मंजिल का ठिकाना बनाया। इनका सभ्य और सुसंस्कृत परिवार फिल्मी दुनिया की छवि से दूर है किंतु दिल में नाट्य के लिए प्रेम इन्हें मायानगरी के द्वार ले आया। इनकी सम्पूर्ण शिक्षा दीक्षा कोलकाता में पूर्ण हुई। दिल में अभिनेत्री बनने की अभिलाषा के कारण इन्होंने अभिनय और मॉडलिंग से अपने कैरियर की शुरुआत की।

कोलकाता से लोपा ने अभिषेक दत्ता, जया मिश्रा जैसे बड़ी हस्तियों के साथ रैम्प शो किया। वह कोलकाता लाइफस्टाइल फैशन वीक, एनआईएफटी शो, तनिष्क ज्वेलरी, लोरियाल आदि फैशन शो का हिस्सा रही। इन्होंने ‘बप्पादित्य बंधोपाध्याय नायिका सोनबद’ बांग्ला फ़िल्म का निर्देशन भी किया है। दुर्गा पूजा स्पेशल पर इनका बांग्ला म्यूजिक वीडियो भी बंगाल में अपना जादू बिखेर चुका है।

श्रीजीत मुखर्जी निर्देशित फिल्म ‘हेमलोक सोसाइटी’ में सास्वत चटर्जी और परंब्रता चटोपाध्याय के साथ लोपामुद्रा पर्दे पर नज़र आयी थी।

मुम्बई आकर इन्होंने कई विज्ञापन, रैम्प शो, वेब सिरीज़ और शार्ट फिल्मों में भी काम किया है। इनकी कई फिल्में ओटीटी प्लेटफॉर्म पर प्रदर्शित हो चुकी है, साथ ही इन्होंने कई टीवी शो में भी काम किया है जिसमें मुख्य रूप से क्राइम पेट्रोल, सावधान इंडिया, क्राइम स्टोरी आदि है। इनकी शार्ट फ़िल्म ‘मेकअप’ भी ओटीटी प्लेटफार्म पर दर्शकों को बेहद पसंद आयी थी। इन्होंने जानेमाने विज्ञापन ब्राण्डों के साथ भी काम किया है जिनमें बोट का मिसफिट और आईसीआईसीआई लोम्बार्ड के विज्ञापन उल्लेखनीय हैं।

अभी भी लोपामुद्रा सतत काम कर रही है जल्द ही इनकी कई वेब सिरीज़ आने वाली हैं जो हॉटस्टार, ज़ी फाइव जैसी ओटीटी प्लेटफॉर्म पर आएगी। लोपा ने वोइला डिगी के लिए दो म्यूजिक एलबम में भी काम किया है।

लोपामुद्रा साहा ने अपने दम पर फिल्मी दुनिया में कदम रखा जिससे कोई फिल्मी गॉडफादर ना होने के कारण कई समस्याओं का सामना करना भी पड़ा। लेकिन अपनी समझदारी के कारण समस्याओं को दरकिनार कर निर्भीकता से वह आगे बढ़ती रही। उनका कहना है कि हमें अपनी बातों और कामों को सोच समझकर उचित निर्णय के साथ करना चाहिए ताकि कोई दुविधा या परेशानी ना हो यदि हो तो उससे बाहर निकलने का रास्ता आसानी से मिल जाये।

मॉडलिंग करते हुए जब लोपामुद्रा अभिनय की दुनिया में आई तो थोड़ा घबराहट का सामना करना पड़ा लेकिन वह पीछे नहीं हटी और अपने अभिनय को तराशना शुरू कर दिया। इसके लिये वह रंगमंच से जुड़ी।

विगत चार पांच वर्षों से लोपामुद्रा साहा अपने सपनों की दुनिया की तरफ बढ़ रही है। कामयाब तो वह है ही बस मंजिल कुछ फासलों पर है और जल्द ही वह इस फासले को मिटा देगी।

अभिनेत्री सुष्मिता सेन को वह अपना आयडल मानती है और रणवीर सिंह की एक्टिंग की कायल है। बांग्ला फ़िल्म के सभी कलाकारों का वो दिल से सम्मान करती है। बॉलीवुड में शाहरुख और सलमान की दीवानी तो वह हैं ही लेकिन अमिताभ बच्चन, अजय देवगण, अक्षय कुमार, नसीरुद्दीन शाह जैसे अभिनेताओं का अभिनय उसकी अभिनय क्षमता को बढ़ाने में प्रेरणा देता है। शबाना आज़मी, शर्मिला टैगोर, रानी मुखर्जी, काजोल, दीपिका, आलिया की अभिनय कला की लोपा मुरीद है।

वह सतत अपने काम को करते रहने में विश्वास करती है। कोरोना महामारी में लॉकडाउन के दौरान काम में रुकावट जरूर आयी थी लेकिन काम के प्रति उनका जुनून कम नहीं हुआ।

बॉलीवुड और टॉलीवुड के दिल में बसनेवाले, अपने अफलातून डांसिंग और उम्दा डायरेक्शन से सबके होश उड़ाने वाले फिल्म एक्टर, डांसर और डायरेक्टर प्रभु देवा के चाहनेवालों के लिए एक खुशखबरी हैं कि अब प्रभु देवा कैमरे के पीछे नही बल्कि कैमरे के आगे एक्टिंग करते नजर आएंगे ।

जी हा, डायरेक्टर आशीष दुबे की फिल्म ‘जर्नी ‘ में प्रभु देवा अपने अदाकारी का हुनर दिखाएंगे। बताया जा रहा है कि फिल्म की शूटिंग अगले साल यानि कि 2022 के मिड में शुरू होगी, जिसकी अधिकांश शूटिंग आगरा और यूरोप में की जाएगी । फिल्म को प्रोड्यूस कर रहे हैं अंजुम रिज़वी और आशीष दुबे । फिल्म ‘जर्नी ‘ एक गहरी भावनात्मक प्रेम कहानी होगी , जिसे अंजुम रिज़वी फिल्म कंपनी,मैड फिल्म एंटरटेनमेंट और स्टैग फिल्म्स एंटरटेनमेंट के बैनर तले बनाया जाएगा ।

2 साल बाद प्रभुदेवा करेंगे एक्टिंग में धुँएधार वापसी

Prabhudeva is wearing his acting hat once again. The selective Actor-Director will be seen in an intense new avatar in the film ‘Journey’, Written and Directed by Ashish Kumar Dubey, and produced by Anjum Rizvi and Ashish Dubey, under the banners Anjum Rizvi Film Co, Mad Films Entertainment  and Stag Films Entertainment, the principal shoot of Journey begins in mid 2022 and will be shot extensively in Agra and Europe.

Here is looking forward to this foot-tapping albeit  emotionally intense romantic entertainer.
