Noida: The 10th International Documentary Film Festival Noida 2022 was organized on 2^nd September 2022 at Marwah Studios.  14 Directors were honoured for their best films during the award ceremony in various categories, which were Best Documentary, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Critic, and Special Jury Mention awards for different category. 59 films made by professional filmmakers and 49 films made by students were received for this documentary film festival of which 14 best films were presented with Certificates, awards and cash prizes at Marwah Studios.

The award ceremony was attended by the Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts Dr. Sandeep Marwah; the country’s eminent film producer and President of the Film Federation of India TP Agarwal; Ambassador of Cuba H.E. Alexandro Simancas Marine; former Deputy Director General DD National and founder of Lok Sabha TV Sudhir Tandon and Art and Culture campaigner Dinesh Upadhyay.

“Over the years it has been seen that many challenges are being faced in the field of production and broadcasting of documentary films. Efforts should be made to promote this genre of films. I am glad that this has been compensated to some extent at the 10th International Documentary Film Festival, Noida. He said that this festival used to be a part of the Global Festival of Journalism but it has now been made an independent event, considering the exigencies of time and in the future, it will create new dimensions”. said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor, AAFT University of Media and Arts addressing the large audience.

T.P, Agarwal congratulated Marwah Studios for the 10^th International Documentary Film Festival and extend his full support from Film Federation of India. Sudhir Tondon gave some wonderful ideas to promote these films. Ambassador Alexandro invited film makers to come to Cuba for their next venture. He also announced the festival of Indian Cinema in Cuba. Dinesh Upadhyay emphasised on Indian culture and powerful history of our nation.

On this grand occasion “Indo Cuba Film and Culture Forum” was launched and Sandeep Marwah was announced as the Chair for the same.  Ambassador of Cuba H.E. Alexandro Simancas Marine accepted the patronship of the forum. Nine-minute film from the country of Cuba was also screened.

What makes the movie different is it’s storytelling with a novel approach with a unique mindset said Director Eddy Singh. The story crafted by Avani Modi herself, who also plays the lead in the film along with Pitobash Tripathi and Vikram Kochar.

Avni Modi has previously acted in several Tamil and Gujarati language films. Her debut film in Bollywood was ‘Calendar Girl’ directed by Madhur Bhandarkar for which she received a lot of appreciation.

The director Eddy Singh, has also directed several ad-films in the past and makes his debut with “Modi Ji Ki Beti” as his first feature film. Good  creative cinema & entertainment is his prime concern !!!

Eddy along with his partner Avani Modi run a production house AE Creatives where this duo is coming up with some high content entertainment soon.

Avani is an Indian actress, writer and producer who started her journey with Tamil movie Naan Rajavaga Pogirein and made her Bollywood debut with Madhur Bhandarkar’s CALENDAR GIRLS where she played a role of a Pakistani girl and got much appreciation. She has done films in various languages like Hindi, Tamil and Gujarati. Avani’s Gujarati movie CARRY ON KESAR was one of the most acclaimed movie, and has bagged many awards for her performance. She is recipient of two most prestigious awards, GUJARAT GLORY award and STATE AWARD by govt of Gujarat for her movie CARRY ON KESAR. The movie also marks her debut as a writer.

The film ‘Modi Ji Ki Beti’ is the story of mistaken identity. A story on women empowerment and of a girl who makes India proud, with twists and turns the Nari Shakti, the spirit of patriotism is also a high point of the film. The film has been shot on beautiful locations of Himachal Pradesh.

The music directors of the film are Mark D Muse, Uzair and Santokh Singh. Title song of the film is sung by rapper Parry Ji. Music is being released by ‘Brandex Music’, a music and distribution firm owned by Brandex  Media Network Private Limited.
