6th August 2022, Kolkata, India: Prabha Khaitan Foundation, India, and Grammy Award winner Riki Kej, are pleased to announce a brand new initiative #ReWear4Earth which will focus on fashion and sustainability. The initiative was inspired by Grammy Award Winner Ricky Kej after he tweeted his pictures earlier this year wearing the same outfit on two of the biggest platforms on the planet – while winning his Grammy Award in Las Vegas and on the Cannes Red Carpet with the hashtag #ReWear4Earth.

Prabha Khaitan Foundation, a non-profit organisation based in Kolkata (India) that helps in creating awareness of sustainable development and India’s ecosystem and biodiversity, got in touch with the Grammy Award winner and together decided to launch this campaign. For decades, repeating an outfit for galas and events would be considered a fashion blunder – encouraging people to switch up outfits for every event, making clothes ‘Single Use’. It’s time to change that narrative. It’s time we consider our planet in this equation. Fashion can be trendy more than once. We need to buy fewer clothes and wear them repeatedly, proudly.

Fast fashion isn’t always fashionable. Especially when we consider its impact on our planet (The fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries on the planet). The use of toxic textile dyes, cheap materials and massive use of water translates to environmental pollution and degradation. In addition, micro-plastics and chemical contaminants leach out from fabrics and find their way into the oceans. Microplastics play a significant part in the killing of over 100 million marine animals and over 1 million seabirds each year. Most fabrics today are not entirely biodegradable and end up in a landfill, or in the oceans.

भारतीय वायु सेना से लेकर बॉलीवुड में एंट्री करने तक युवा और डायनामिक निर्देशक ज्योतिप्रकाश ने बड़ी हिम्मत दिखाई है। उन्होंने फिल्म जगत में निर्देशक के रूप में शुरुआत की है, उनकी सामाजिक संदेश लिए फ़िल्म झोलाछाप को बहुत सराहा गया है। ज्योतिप्रकाश और इस फिल्म के बारे में उनसे जानते हैं कि इस फिल्म की इस समय आवश्यकता क्यों है।

सवाल: झोलाछाप बनाने की प्रेरणा कहां से मिली/आपके पास आइडिया कैसे आया? हमारा मतलब है इसका कांसेप्ट, कहानी और इसे प्रोड्यूस करना..

जवाब: महामारी के दौरान ही लोगों को स्वास्थ्य के महत्व का एहसास होने लगा जिसने मुझे इस पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने के लिए मजबूर किया। इसके अलावा, उड़ीसा के डॉक्टर शेखरलाल प्रधान अपनी निस्वार्थ सेवा के कारण सुर्खियों में थे। उन्होंने एक अलग स्तर पर एक प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्र को  विकसित किया जिसके लिए मुख्यमंत्री श्री नवीन पटनायक ने भी ट्वीट करके उनके काम की तारीफ की थी। इन सभी ने वास्तव में मुझे इसकी कहानी तैयार करने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

सवाल- क्या आप फ़िल्म के परिणाम से संतुष्ट हैं?

जवाब.-यह मेरी पहली कमर्शियल प्रोजेक्ट है। इससे पहले मैंने कई शॉर्ट और टेली फिल्में बनाई हैं जिन्हें राष्ट्रीय तथा अंतराष्ट्रीय विभिन्न फेस्टिवल में सम्मानित किया गया है। लेकिन अगर मैं झोलाछाप के बारे में कहूं, तो मैंने अपनी तरफ से पूरी कोशिश की है और मुझे लगता है कि यह अच्छी तरह से सामने आई है।

सवाल.- बॉलीवुड की बड़ी दुनिया में, क्या आप फिल्म की रिलीज को लेकर घबराए हुए थे और आप कितने आश्वस्त थे कि फिल्म हिट होगी?

जवाब.- यह वास्तव में एक बड़ी चुनौती थी क्योंकि दर्शक हमेशा एक बड़ी स्टारकास्ट को देखने की कोशिश करते हैं। लेकिन मुझे लगता है कि अब चलन बदल रहा है, लोगों ने एक अच्छा कलाकार देखना शुरू कर दिया है और निश्चित रूप से झोलाछाप पसंद किया जाएगा।

प्रश्न.- इस सीरीज में मुख्य कलाकार कौन कौन हैं और आपने केंद्रीय चरित्र को कैसे विकसित किया?

जवाब.- महक मनवानी ने मुख्य किरदार  निभाया है। वो एक डॉक्टर की भूमिका निभाई हैं जो ग्रामीण प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र (पीएचसी) में नवनियुक्त चिकित्सक  हैं। उनके अलावा चित्तरंजन त्रिपाठी और बॉलीवुड के वरिष्ठ कलाकार मुश्ताक खान भी हैं।

सवाल.– कहानी के बारे में कुछ बताएं और यह कई अन्य कहानियों से अलग कैसे होगी?

जवाब.– सबसे पहले, कहानी कुछ सच्ची घटनाओं पर आधारित है। हमारे देश के गांव की स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था का कड़वा सच को दर्शाया गया है। कहानी में हमने न केवल झोलाछाप डॉक्टरों के बारे में बल्कि सरकारी स्वास्थ्य प्रणाली के गुण और अवगुण के बारे में भी दिखाया है। गांवों में लोग क्यों एमबीबीएस डॉक्टरों से ज्यादा झोलाछाप डॉक्टरों पर भरोसा करते हैं। सरकारी अस्पताल जाने से क्यों कतराते हैं।

सवाल- कुछ यादगार घटनाएं बताएं जो फिल्म की शूटिंग के दौरान घटी होंगी..

जवाब.- जब शूटिंग चल रही थी तो कुछ ग्रामीणों को हमने जूनियर आर्टिस्ट के रूप में लिया था। जब डॉ नेहा एक डॉक्टर की पोशाक में शॉट्स के लिए ग्रामीणों की जाँच कर रही थी, तो गांवों के लोगों ने वास्तव में उसे पीएचसी का असली डॉक्टर समझकर अपने स्वास्थ्य के मुद्दों को बताना शुरू कर रहे थे।

सवाल.- और अधिक फिल्में बनाने के लिए मुंबई जाने की कोई योजना है?

जवाब.- बचपन से ही मेरा रुझान थिएटर और फिल्म के प्रति था। अपने स्कूल के दिनों में मुझे याद है कि मेरा झुकाव पढ़ाई के बजाय कला और नाटक की ओर था। मैंने अपनी नौकरी के दौरान एडिटिंग और एनिमेशन कोर्स किया। मैंने अपनी नौकरी समय से पहले छोड़ दी और फिल्म मेकिंग कोर्स में शामिल हो गया। यह वास्तव में चुनौतीपूर्ण था क्योंकि यह बिल्कुल अलग पेशा था लेकिन मुझे अपने काम पर विश्वास था।

सवाल.- आप खुद को रिलैक्स कैसे रखते हैं?

जवाब.- मेरा एकमात्र विकल्प संगीत और फिल्म है ।

प्रश्न- आपके पसंदीदा फिल्म निर्माता?

उ.- मैं हमेशा राजू हिरानी सर और वेत्रिमारन सर के पफिल्में देखना पसंद करता हूं।

प्र.- एक मौका मिलने पर आप अपनी फिल्म में मुख्य हीरो किसे लेना चाहेंगे?

जवाब ; मैं मनोज बाजपेयी जी के साथ काम करना पसंद करूंगा ।

Mumbai : Recently Award Show ‘Rashtriya Ratna Samman 2022’ organized by Dr. Krishna Chauhan was held on 20th of July 2022 in Mayor Hall in Andheri, Mumbai. The Krishna Chauhan Foundation (KCF) presented this award show. They honored renowned people from various fields and regions of our country, as well as those who have done outstanding works of social and human service.

There were many renowned people from film and politics, including Abhijeet Rane, Aarti Nagpal, Dr. Sunil Baliram Gaikwad, and ACP Bajirao Mahajan, who presented the awards to the winners.

Many celebrities attended, including Dr. Parin Somani, Aarti Nagpal, Action Director Tinu Verma, Anil Nagrath, Designer Dr. Bharti Chhabria, Music Director Dilip Sen, Sujata Mehta, Comedian VIP and Ehsan Qureshi. The program started after lighting the lamp and the show was moderated by Simran Ahuja. She also received an award for her excellent work in her field.
